Eli contains Tadalafil. Eli is a drug used in the treatment of erectile dysfunction (male impotence) and symptoms of enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hypertrophy). Eli works by relaxing the muscles and increasing the flow of blood to certain parts of the body. The drug will help achieve and keep an erection after sexual stimulation.

Depending on the tablet’s dose, Eli may be taken on an “as needed’ basis or on a daily basis. The following are the recommended dosages of Tadalafil: For the treatment of erectile dysfunction as needed: initial dose of 10 mg, maintenance dose of 5 mg to 20 mg.

A tablet of the recommended dose must be taken by mouth once a day, as needed, about 30 minutes prior to sexual activity. Maintenance dose may be adjusted, depending on the drug’s effectiveness and the patient’s tolerance to the drug. The effect of Eli when used as needed, has shown to last for up to 36 hours. For the daily treatment of erectile dysfunction: initial dose of 2.5 mg, maintenance dose of 2.5 mg to 5 mg. A tablet of the recommended dose is taken orally, once a day, at same times each day, without regard to the time of sexual activity. For the daily treatment of erectile dysfunction and benign prostatic hyperplasia: a dose of 5 mg is taken orally, once a day, at same times each day without regard to the time of sexual activity.

Eli is contraindicated to patients with known allergy to the active ingredient Tadalafil and to any of the tablet’s inactive ingredients. Men who should not engage in sexual activity because of heart problems must also avoid using Eli.

Side effects that are commonly caused by Eli include headache, upset stomach, back and muscle pain, stuffy or runny nose, flushing, and dizziness. These side effects usually go away, but if any persist or worsen, healthcare providers must be notified.

If a severe allergic reaction occurs with symptoms of hives, rash, itching, swelling of face, lips, tongue or throat, and difficult breathing; stop the use of Eli and seek medical help immediately.
